Report of the 12th ISFRI Conference in Toulouse, May 2023
We are delighted to share the success of the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Forensic Radiology and Imaging (ISFRI) and the 18th Anniversary Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers (IAFR), held from May 25th to 27th, 2023, in Toulouse, France.
This year’s event was our first in-person gathering since the COVID-19 pandemic, which had forced a canceled meeting (2020 - Albuquerque, USA, Chair: Natalie Adolphi) and two online conferences (2021 – Krakow, Poland, Online, Chair: Krzysztof Woźniak and 2022 – Tokyo, Japan, Hybrid, Chair: Hideki Hyodoh). The ISFRI family was thrilled to reconnect face-to-face, fostering a renewed spirit of collegiality and collaboration.
Hosted by Dr. Fabrice Dedouit of the Department of Forensic Medicine at the University Paul Sabatier, the conference featured the latest advancements in forensic radiology and anthropology. Attendees enjoyed presentations, workshops, and discussions that sparked new ideas and strengthened partnerships. Toulouse, with its rich culture and beautiful architecture, provided a perfect backdrop. Participants explored the city’s UNESCO-awarded sites, delicious cuisine, and renowned wine.

We look forward to our next gathering, where we will once again collaborate, share, and advance forensic radiology and imaging.
